When I was in Paris I had the opportunity to visit Le Palais des Thés. After rushing back from the Eiffel Tower, I made it to the shop before it closed at 25, rue Raymond Losserand 75014 Paris. (Yep, that’s me below in front of the store!) And, wow, was it worth it!
This shop is great! The selection is endless. See the 237 loose teas available: here. Though you can’t smell the teas on your own and have to ask someone in the store to show you the teas (something I’m not always a fan of, depending on the vibe I get from staff), it was still a friendly atmosphere so I felt comfortable asking to see more teas.
Of course, I picked up a “few” teas while I was there. One of my favourites is Tropical Wu Long (oolong). A “tropical fruit cocktail with mango, maracuja (passion fruit) and guava”. This tea is a very delicious flavoured oolong. The mango flavouring adds wonderful notes to the tea without becoming overpowering. The fruit is a perfect addition to oolong and one of my favourite combinations in the “flavoured tea world”.
If you ever find yourself in France, Belgium, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Norway or Slovenia I highly recommend stopping into one of these shops. Or, better yet, why wait? You can also order online!
